I see I am having trouble with estimating size of finished work.
This photo was taken at a Conservatory in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 9, 2004, using a 1.3 Olympus digital and then cropping and some lighting changes in Adobe Photoshop. For my own personal tastes, I like this one.

...oh, I thought it was a peony when I looked at the 200x150 thumb

...o well, tulips are as beautiful an any flower. Nice colors, DOF. Well done.
The composition could improve tho by not center the object. Try some angles next time.

This is beautiful. A nice soft focus, great color, and nice delicate lighting make this shot. I do agree that it's usually best to offcenter the subject but in this case the centered tulip works well.
